I recently had a consultation with Mo as I was struggling with finding a comfortable position for breastfeeding my 3.5-week-old baby boy. I was also concerned about my latch and whether some tummy issues were due to poor attachment. Mo was warm and reassuring in her approach and helped me find comfortable positions that worked for me and my baby. We also discussed possible causes for the tummy issues, and Mo helped signpost me to resources to help with this. We are both getting more sleep now, and the baby seems happier with feeding, so I feel the consultation was worthwhile in providing some valuable guidance at a challenging time. Thanks very much, Mo!

Mo is nothing short of a fairy godmother! As a third-time mum, I was completely caught off guard by the feeding challenges I faced with my youngest daughter, especially after having no issues with my first two. Mo arrived like a calm, reassuring presence and, within just a few hours, transformed our entire feeding experience with a few simple but effective adjustments to positioning and technique. Her expertise, warmth, and genuine care made all the difference. She even made sure my daughter and I were comfortably tucked in for a much-needed nap before she left! I can’t recommend her highly enough to anyone struggling with breastfeeding—she is truly a lifesaver!

Mo’s approach is sensitive and holistic and she gently empowers you on your feeding journey. Both times I sawMo I felt a huge increase in confidence about breastfeeding. I felt more informed about areas I could make manageable changes, but also encouraged and validated about what I was already doing. I couldn’t recommend seeing Mo more and have recommended her to everyone I know with a young baby.

I reached out to Mo via the charity Breastfeeding Twins and Triplets UK. I have twin girls who were 6 weeks premature, spent 16 days in special care and had an inconsistent breastfeeding journey. I felt I needed in-person support from an experienced IBCLC to even continue our journey. It was just a bonus that Mo is also a twin mum! Mo visited when our girls were 4.5 weeks old, and I was already exhausted and overwhelmed with information and strategies. She stayed at our house for several hours. We spoke about me; Mo observed them both feed. She gave me practical tips regarding latching, compressions, positions and expressing. I even learned that my current flange was 8mm too big. We agreed on the girls and some strategies going forward to prioritise, and neither were overwhelming that they felt unachievable.
When Mo left, I felt so uplifted and positive that our journey could continue. Mo then stayed in touch via email and expressed a genuine interest in me and our girls. She was there not only from a practical perspective but also emotionally. I was able to reach out to Mo many times when I was emotionally struggling, and she always picked me back up. I can honestly say that without the practical and emotional support from Mo, I don’t think I would have continued feeding. I was so exhausted and struggling that I desperately needed someone to get us out. Mo was our person! Our premature, 4lb babies are now over 7 and 8lb. Our not-so-little Halle and Riley have truly benefited from this journey.

Mo was recommended to us as an expert in all things feeding. We had been experiencing challenges and spending 16 – 20 hours a day feeding, leaving our baby and us exhausted and emotional. Mo helped us identify the factors impacting our breastfeeding experience and journey and we discussed changes we could make, tools we could use and more importantly, how we could reframe our approach.
At a time when myself and my family felt quite vulnerable, Mo used her expertise, experience and empathy to help us find a route to a more balanced and better experience. I’d strongly recommend Nurture Breastfeeding to anyone facing challenges and needing advice and support.

I contacted Mo after my son dropped down across two centile lines at his 12-week check. Mo was fantastic at quickly identifying what the issues were – mainly he wasn’t transferring milk effectively. Although he was latching on well, we couldn’t hear him take active swallows of milk. My son had been incredibly fussy at the breast since birth and has reflux. He was always a tricky baby to feed – it’s not been the sit, cuddle/relax and feed situation I had with my first child – it was hard work getting any milk into him. He also wasn’t taking keen to take a bottle. Mo came up with a plan to get more milk into my wee one by using a supplementary nursing system (SNS) while building my supply back up through pumping. Mo set me up with the new SNS and stayed with me until I was feeling confident with using it and was on hand for the next few weeks online to support my various questions. I also received tons of information through email. I thought I’d be housebound with the SNS but I’ve managed to do it on trains, planes and buses!! It is a faff in the beginning but once you get into the swing of things it can come everywhere. I would definitely recommend Mo and paying for this service. The 1:1 support currently through the public system is pretty much non-existent and some of the support feels out of date too. I’m delighted that I’m still breastfeeding at 5 months old- having many times thought it would be the end of it. Baby is putting on weight and things are so much more relaxed at the boob. Hoping to wean off the SNS and top-ups once we start to wean onto solids! I’m hopeful we’ve got ourselves through his rough patch and we can continue our BF journey a bit longer like I’d hoped!

Throughout my pregnancy I was determined that I reallywanted to breast feed. My partner and I attended additional antenatal classes and I also signed up for a local breast feeding support group. I did not expect to find breast feeding so difficult when my little boy was born. There were a number of things making it more challenging; a tongue tie and the recovery after my c-section. I found the whole experience of trying to breast feed very upsetting.
I had a session with Mo the day after my little boy had his tongue tie released. Whilst the release had made things a little easier I felt I had got into some bad habits prior to this and was continuing to have difficulties. My little boy had also lost more weight which was concerning. Mo was so knowledgeable and was able to explain everything to me so clearly, giving examples e.g. visuals and demonstrations that really helped me understand things better. I had had countless people try to help me with positioning and attachment but the way that Mo explained things and the way she supported me whilst I was trying really helped me to understand what I was doing but also feel relaxed at the same time. The session allowed me to go from being able to breastfeed lying down (although inconsistently) to feeling more comfortable in this position and also able to comfortably use another two positions.
I spent the rest of the day practising what Mo had shown me and couldn’t believe the difference. Everything was much more comfortable, I wasn’t experiencing pain whilst feeding and I was actually enjoying it! I felt so confident that we even popped out for lunch the following day and I was able to feed my little boy whilst out which I hadn’t felt able to do previously. Unfortunately I picked up a sickness bug and was unwell the following day. However, I was able to continue breastfeeding throughout – something I know would not have been possible had I not had Mo’s support prior to this.
We had another weigh in for my little boy 6 days later and he had put on 9oz which I was delighted with. Anyone considering booking a session with Mo shouldn’t think twice. I am so glad I did.

I got in touch with Mo on the recommendation of several people. We had experienced so much difficulty with breastfeeding (tongue tie, blocked ducts, and mastitis), and I was desperate for help. Mo responded quickly and spent three full hours with us. We went over my baby’s breastfeeding journey and the difficulties we had faced. She answered so many of my questions, and her practical advice was invaluable—such as proper latching, feeding positions, and hand compression techniques.
The report Mo provided was clear and practical, and after following her suggestions, my baby’s weight gain was back on track within two weeks. We can’t thank her enough for her help. I strongly recommend Mo to all breastfeeding mothers.

Having suffered with low milk supply with my first daughter in February 2022 and going through a difficult journey with it, Mo was absolutely key in helping me to achieve my goal of exclusively breastfeeding her – totally worth every penny and so much more, I couldn’t have done it without her.
So when my second daughter was born 4 weeks ago and again, I had low supply (although not nearly as bad as the first time round), I didn’t hesitate in calling Mo again, and again, she’s been invaluable in helping me on my journey.
Luckily, with my knowledge from first time round and with more help from Mo, this time is much easier and I’m already relaxing away from the feeding plan which is an absolute dream. If anyone is thinking of calling Mo to help with their breastfeeding journey, do not hesitate, you won’t regret it!!!

“Mo was an absolute saviour for me and our little boy Cameron. At 5 days old Cammy was losing weight and struggling to feed, I was experiencing issues with my supply including a delay to my milk coming in. As a first time mum I was totally lost and was becoming incredibly anxious receiving conflicting, unhelpful advice from friends, family and health professionals.
Mo’s initial visit saved me, she was kind, professional and so knowledgeable. Her face-to-face visit was excellent value for money as she spent dedicated time with me and my baby understanding my full health history and got to the root of our feeding problems.
Fast forward 5 weeks and we’re now off our personalised feeding plan and exclusively breastfeeding! Cammy and myself are thriving thanks to Mo and I can now relax and enjoy motherhood! Her follow up visit was also invaluable. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough!”

“I had the pleasure of meeting Mo, who greatly helped me manage my breastfeeding better. She took the time to explain each step in detail, making the information clear and easy to understand. Mo provided me with a tailored plan to follow to raise my milk supply, and her guidance was invaluable. Thanks to her insightful advice and support, I was able to become more confident in my role as a breastfeeding mother. I highly recommend Mo to all mothers seeking support and advice for their breastfeeding journey.”

“I can’t recommend booking a consultation with Mo highly enough. She put me at ease and gave such great, practical tips and advice. The follow-up information, links and notes she sent have been so helpful and I feel reassured, positive and confident going forward. I only wish I had seen her earlier in my breastfeeding journey.”
