Hi, I’m Mo, a Midwife and Lactation Consultant based in Edinburgh.  I trained first as a nurse then as a midwife qualifying in 1986. My career has been rich and fulfilling  working in many areas of midwifery including clinical practice, management and teaching before choosing to specialise in breastfeeding and  lactation.

From 2012 I worked in the Lothian Breastfeeding Clinics where it was my privilege to assist mothers experiencing simple to complex breastfeeding challenges; supporting, guiding and empowering them to achieve their breastfeeding goals.  I started my private practice in 2017 and, building on all this experience, I then chose to study the theory and practice of breastfeeding in more detail to be able to provide even more specialist help  to the mothers in my care.  I passed the International Board of Lactation Consultants Examination in 2018.

I am also a mother of three, including twins.  I breastfed my children and I know the joy that breastfeeding brings, but I also understand the challenges that can be encountered.  I am passionate about helping mothers to find the right path for them and their family.
